Riverton Volunteer Fire Department co-hosts the annual Wyoming Mid Winter Fire School and Meeting The school hosts nearly 600 participants, and is known state wide as the largest and most hospitable firefighter gathering in the area. The topics of instruction and their appropriate instructors have been compiled from all over the United States. The RVFD completes is mission with a force of FULLY VOLUNTEER trained professionals. Training is key to the continued protection of the 120 sq. miles served by the RVFD.
