LPKNC is dedicated to educting youth, families, and the community on drug use, misuse, and the importance of mental health. Through seven grant-funded programs, we have conducted workshops focused on the dangers of alcohol and marijuana, primarily aimed at youth, as well as community workshops on opioid and fentanyl awareness. Mental health workshops were also provided to help youth and parents understand the importance of mental wellness and to equip them with effective strategies for maintaining it. We also collaborate with youth groups to promote substance-free lifestyles and mental health care. The organizations coalition consists of 12 sections, and each all sectors participate in events like the DEAs National Drug Take Back Day and other local initiatives to share information on drug prevention and mental health support. To drive community change, LPKNC and its partners use seven strategies Provide information, Enhance Skills, Offer Support, Improve Access/Reduce Barriers, Change Consequences, Modify Physical Design, and Adapt or Change Policies.
