DE empowers parents and students by teaching them about civil rights and how the American education system is structured; exposes malfeasance in schools and the school system through a tip line and public records requests; and engages in the policy process by filing lawsuits & federal comments, sending coalition letters, and networking education activists with each other and the broader policy advocacy community.
