Opening in fall 2024, Morning Glory Montessori (MGM) will start by serving up to 30 boys 3 to 6 years old, with plans to expand our programming to ultimately serve toddlers through 3rd grade, including girls. The church facility where GM will start its first primary classroom known as the Childrens House is currently under construction to make the building ADA compliant, accessible, licensable, and safe with the addition of a sprinkler system. Other current accomplishments include but are not limited to, building a solid organizational infrastructure (fiscally and otherwise) through an 18 month process, recruiting and training Board members from the community, recruiting and training Montessori staff from the community, continuing a community engagement and empowerment campaign to educate African American families about Montessori and recruit founding families, completing a three year strategic plan, launching a new website, developing a FY24 fundraising plan and online campaign through Bloomerang, continuing to raise construction and startup revenue.
