TAKE CARE UTAH:Take Care Utah (TCU) is a program of Utah Health Policy Project that helps Utahns access health insurance coverage and navigate the health care system. TCU employs a team of Health Access Assisters (HAA) and Linkage Coordinators who provide services throughout the state. The team assists with: (1) providing application assistance in multiple languages for Medicaid, CHIP, or Marketplace; (2) conducting case management throughout the eligibility process; (3) guidance in selecting health plans; (4) providing insurance literacy education after enrollment to ensure benefits can be accessed, and; (5) providing ongoing assistance with renewals or reviews to maintain coverage. THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO GET AS MANY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AS POSSIBLE ENROLLED IN HEALTH INSURANCE AND ACCESSING NEEDED HEALTH CARE SERVICES.

POLICY:Utah Health Policy Project (UHPP) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization advancing sustainable health care solutions for underserved Utahns through better access, education, and public policy. UHPP ADVOCATES FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN UTAH'S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THROUGH POLICY CHANGE AT THE NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LEVELS. THE ORGANIZATION FOCUSES POLICY ADVOCACY EFFORTS ON UNDERSERVED HEALTH CARE CONSUMERS. UHPP develops solutions to create a health system that provides better access to higher quality health care at a lower cost. UHPP is a resource for the public, community leaders, the media, businesses, health care providers and policymakers.
