MATER DOLOROSA'S OPERATIONS WERE GREATLY AFFECTED BY THE EATON FIRE. THE RETREAT CENTER WAS CLOSED FOR THE MONTH FOLLOWING THE FIRE. CERTAIN GROUPS CANCELED IMMEDIATELY AFTER REOPENING DUE TO CONCERNS ABOUT THE AIR QUALITY. FOLLOWING THE FIRE, RAINS CAUSED CANCELLATION OF A WEEKEND RETREAT BECAUSE OF EVACUATION ORDERS FROM THE CITY BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE LANDSLIDES. WE SCHEDULED 25 WEEKEND RETREATS, 19 WERE HELD, THEY WERE EITHER PASSIONIST PREACHED OR PASSIONIST SPONSORED. DURING THESE WEEKEND RETREATS APPROXIMATELY 1,213 RETREATANTS WERE SERVED. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR SPECIAL DAY OF REFLECTION PROGRAMS INCLUDED, LENTEN REFLECTION SERIES, SERVED APPROXIMATELY 125 PEOPLE. MATER DOLOROSA EXTENDED MINISTRY OFFERINGS TO YOUNG ADULTS BY OFFERING MEETINGS. MATER DOLOROSA'S HISPANIC MINISTRY WAS ABLE TO HOLD 2 WEEKEND RETREATS IN SPANISH. MATER DOLOROSA PROVIDED HOUSING AND HOSPITALITY FOR 144 HOSTED PROGRAMS DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR. THESE SINGLE TO MULTI-DAY PROGRAMS ARE CONDUCTED BY THE GROUP USING THE FACILITY AND ARE AVAILABLE TO OTHER NON-PROFIT ENTITIES SUCH AS CHURCHES AND SCHOOLS. APPROXIMATELY 5,466 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED DURING THESE HOSTED PROGRAMS. MATER DOLOROSA WAS ABLE TO OPEN ON GOOD FRIDAY, APPROXIMATELY 2,225 PEOPLE CAME TO PRAY THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS. DURING TIMES WHEN IT ISN'T OCCUPIED WITH RETREAT GROUPS, MATER DOLOROSA IS OPEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO COME TO THE CENTER FOR PERSONAL PRAYER.
