Mission

The mission of the Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation is to empower the community by raising awareness of ovarian cancer and other gynecologic cancers. Ovarian Cancer is the number one cause of gynecologic cancer deaths. Outreach, education workshops and awareness events/programs are conducted to mitigate the over 80 percent of cases being diagnosed too late. The majority of those diagnosed with ovarian cancer are at an advanced stage and end in death due to lack of standardized screening education equitable care testing and proper insurance coverage. Other gynecologic cancers have lower mortality rates due to effective screening and testing methods, yet lack access to care. Our goal is to also advance the Faith Deanna Johnson Act passed in Delaware on March 21, 2024 providing expanded insurance coverage for ovarian cancer screening.
