LANG CARES EXPANDED ON OUR LANG CARES FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE COMMUNITY LEADERS PROGRAM BY AWARDING THE SCHOLARSHIP TO TWO SENIORS AT NEWARK CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL, ONE SENIOR AT NEWARK HIGH SCHOOL AND ONE SENIOR AT CHRISTIANA HIGH SCHOOL IN MAY 2024. THE FOUR STUDENTS RECEIVED A ONE-TIME SCHOLARSHIP IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500 TO BE USED FOR THEIR FUTURE COLLEGE EXPENSES. LANG CARES WAS HONORED TO PRESENT THIS SCHOLARSHIP TO FOUR HIGHLY QUALIFIED STUDENTS WHO HAVE SHOWN EXTREME SUCCESS BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE CLASSROOM. ALL STUDENTS WERE ALSO HEAVILY INVOLVED IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH VOLUNTEERING THEIR TIME AND EFFORTS AT NUMEROUS ORGANIZATIONS. WE WERE SO HAPPY TO EXPAND THE SCHOLARSHIP TO INCLUDE THREE HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE NEWARK AREA IN 2024, NEWARK CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL, NEWARK HIGH SCHOOL AND CHRISTIANA HIGH SCHOOL.

LANG CARES WORKED WITH GUIDANCE COUNSELORS AT THE SCHOOL TO IDENTIFY FAMILIES IN NEED OF HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE. FAMILIES IDENTIFIED BY THE SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELORS RANGED FROM KINDERGARTEN TO 12TH GRADE. LANG CARES WAS PROVIDED WITH "WISH LISTS" FROM THE FAMILIES AND LANG CARES FULFILLED THEIR REQUESTS.
