SFC provides a welcoming environment where children in care can choose their own clothing, necessities and just-for-fun items. All items are free of charge. Younger children can play with toys while caregivers choose the items for the child, and older children can choose and try on their own items. Drop-in shopping is available during our open hours (Tues/Thur 10am-2pm) and by appointment. New placements receive up to 10 outfits other necessities while seasonal and size updates receive up to 5 outfits. Caregivers (foster and kinship), caseworkers, CASA volunteers, and other workers in the system are eligible to shop the closet for children in out-of-home placement.
