Matthews Light provides monthly street outreach in the Greater Houston area, distributing food, hygiene products, clothing, shoes, and blankets to individuals experiencing homelessness. These outreach events also offer opportunities for connection, prayer, and referrals to services. In 2024, we served over 4,200 individuals through 12 outreach events.

Matthews Light received donations of in-Kind Services totaling $9,250 for the Cana Village Land Plan and Renderings and the development of marketing/videos instrumental to sharing the vision essential in obtaining the needed support (contributions, grants, etc.) to purchase the land and begin development. Leaders have also participated in training offered by Community First Village to learn how to replicate the village. (Note: Although the in kind services are revenue and expenses, because they are non-cash, these revenue/expenses are not reflected in the 990 .
