These animals came from surrenders auctions kill pens and law enforcement seizures from around the United States. At the end of 2024 we were caring for 310 donkeys in need

Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue rehabilitates rescued donkeys by providing medical nutritional and behavioral support prior to adopting them to carefully vetted loving homes. We completed rehabilitation with many of the rescues and were able to successfully adopt out 110 equines in 2024. To date one of our adopted animals was returned and remains here and all the others adopted are happy and healthy in their new homes.

Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue hosts multiple annual events attends public events and has a presence on social media to help educate the public about the mistreatment and cruelty experienced by donkeys. We educated roughly 1400 people about the mistreatment of the donkey in 2 separate events. We also conducted tours that were educational and interactive and we attended local events to increase awareness. We also maintain accounts on multiple social media platforms but we primary use Facebook. Our Facebook following is growing. As of the day of this writing Facebook reports we reached over 2.1 million people per month in 2024. We intend to use this avenue as well as You Tube and Instagram for educational outreach.
