HONOR THE PROMISE FUNDED THE PRODUCTION OF A FEATURE-LENGTH DOCUMENTARY FILM, NOORI. IT TELLS THE STORY OF AN AFGHAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES (SOF) VETERAN AND HIS FAMILY AS THEY REBUILD THEIR LIVES IN THE U.S. THE FILM HIGHLIGHTS THE SERVICE, SACRIFICE, AND RESILIENCE OF AFGHAN SOF VETERANS WHO FOUGHT ALONGSIDE U.S. FORCES DURING THE 20-YEAR WAR, WHILE ALSO RAISING AWARENESS OF THE CHALLENGES THEY FACE AS REFUGEES. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO USE STORYTELLING AS A TOOL FOR EDUCATION, ENSURING THAT THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF AFGHAN SOF VETERANS ARE RECOGNIZED AS PART OF AMERICAS VETERAN COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM ALSO SEEKS TO MOBILIZE PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR INITIATIVES THAT PROVIDE OUR BENEFICIARIES AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH LONG-TERM STABILITY AND OPPORTUNITY. SCREENINGS OF THE FILM ARE PAIRED WITH COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS, FUNDRAISING, AND VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT TO FURTHER ADVANCE HONOR THE PROMISES MISSION.
