HYVEE INDYCAR RACE WEEKEND JULY 12-14 2024. A 3-DAY FESTIVAL OF SPEED AND A-LIST CONCERT ENTERTAINMENT. FRIDAY WAS A FREE ADMISSION DAY WITH FEATURED ON-TRACK ACTIVIEES, MUSICAL ENTERAINMENT,ETC. SATURDDAY AND SUNDAY PRESENTED THE STARS OF THE NTT INDYCAR SERIES IN A CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE-HEADER PLUS TWO MAJOR CONCERT ACTS ON EACH DAY. THE EVENTS HAD A PAID ATTENDANCE OF OVER 80,000 WITH 55% COMING FROM OUTSIDE OF IOWA. THIS WEEKEND IMPACTED NOT ONLY NEWTON BUT ALL OF THE GREATER DES MOINES AND CENTRAL IOWA REGIONS. HOTEL/MOTEL ROOMS AND CAMPING SITES WERE SOLD OUT WITH AT TOTAL ECONOMIC IMPACT OF OVER $50 MILLION.

NASCAR EVENT WEEKEND 6/14-6/16/2024. THE 2024 NASCAR EVENT WEEKEND AT IOWA SPEEDWAY IN NEWTON WAS HELD ON JUNE 14-16 AND FEATURED THE TRACKS INAGURAL NASCAR CUP SERIES RACE ON SUNDAY JUNE 16. THAT EVENT SOLD OUT OF TICKETS AND HOSPITALITY IN RECORD TIME, SO THE FOCUS OF OUR PROMOTIONAL PUSH SHIFTED TO THE TWO SUPPORTING EVENTS, THE NASCAR XFINITY SERIES RACE ON SATURDAY JUNE 15 AND THE ARCA MENARDS SERIES EVENT ON FRIDAY JUNE 14. THROUGH EFFECTIVE CROSS-PROMOTIONS WITH THE CUP SERIES MARKETING CAMPAIGN AND A HIGHLY TARGETED ADVERTISING STRATEGY THE NET RESULTS WERE SELL-OUT CROWDS FOR BOTH OF THE SUPPORTING SERIES RACES. PROMOTIONAL COMPONENTS OF THIS EVENT INCLUDED A COMBINATION OF OUTDOOR (BILLBOARD) ADVERTISING, SIGNAGE FOR PROMOTIONAL EVENTS, PREMIUM GIVE-AWAY ITEMS FOR PROMOTIONAL EVENTS, AND TARGETED DES MOINES AIRPORT ADVERTISING.
