FAMILY SKILLBUILDERS SERVICES WORKS WITH PARENTS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO KEEP FAMILIES UNITED, STABLE, AND STRONG. WHERE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE HOME, WE PREPARE PARENTS WITH THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE TO SEE THEIR CHILDREN RETURN.FAMILY SKILLBUILDERS CONTINUED TO INCREASE THE VALUE OF STATE FUNDING DURING THE YEAR INCLUDING WINNING NEW CONTRACTS FOR SERVICES TO PREVENT HARM TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR NEW PREVENTATIVE SERVICE CONTRACTS WILL BEGIN IN THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR. OUR PARENTING GROUPS PROGRAM SAW INCREASED ENGAGEMENT FOR PARENTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.WE EXPANDED STAFFING FOR OUR OVW-FUNDED PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TO SERVE MORE FAMILIES.FAMILY SKILLBUILDERS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO GROW WITH ADDITIONAL FUNDING THIS YEAR TO COVER EMERGENCY CHILD SAFETY-RELATED EXPENSES TO FAMILIES.A KEY GOAL FOR THE YEAR WAS DIVERSIFYING FUNDING SOURCES. OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS HAVE DECREASED OUR DEPENDENCE ON CONTRACTED SERVICES BY INCREASING OUR TOTAL BUDGET WITH A VARIETY OF NEW SOURCES INCLUDING EVENTS, PRIVATE GRANTS, COUNTY GRANTS, BUSINESS SPONSORS, AND RECURRING PRIVATE DONATIONS.FAMILY SKILLBUILDERS HIRED A FULL-TIME DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR. WE HOSTED OUR FIRST TWO FUNDRAISING EVENTS THIS YEAR, LAYING THE GROUNDWORK FOR FUTURE SUCCESS. OTHER OUTREACH ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDED ESTABLISHED BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS, A NEW WEBSITE REFLECTING OUR MISSION AS A COMMUNITY NONPROFIT, AND AN OVERHAUL OF OUR FUNDRAISING CRM AND SUPPORTING AUTOMATION APPLICATIONS.
