PVU delivers field-based trauma-informed programs designed to meet individuals where they are and provide holistic support navigation and empowerment. In 2024 PVU launched one of its most successful years reaching nearly 24,000 individuals through its direct services referrals and collaborations: - ENHANCED CARE MANAGEMENT ECM - Coordinating whole-person care for Medi-Cal beneficiaries with complex health and social needs bridging medical behavioral health and social service gaps. Served: 289 individuals per year - JUSTICE-INVOLVED & REENTRY SUPPORT - Providing peer mentorship job training housing assistance and behavioral health support to individuals transitioning from incarceration. Our focus is on reducing recidivism and promoting self-sufficiency. Served: 2,492 individuals per year - HOMELESS SUPPORT & NAVIGATION SERVICES - Field-based peer and Community Health Worker CHW services connecting unhoused individuals with Medi-Cal primary care mental health support housing and employment resources. Served: 3,174 individuals per year - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES - Peer-led mental health and substance use recovery support including crisis intervention harm reduction support groups and recovery coaching. Served: 4,892 individuals per year - CRISIS COUNSELING - Providing immediate emotional support and intervention for individuals in crisis ensuring safety and connection to long-term resources. Served: 774 individuals per year - HOARDING SUPPORT SERVICES - Trauma-informed interventions for individuals struggling with hoarding behaviors focusing on decluttering mental health treatment and long-term stability. Served: 329 individuals per year - NATIVE AMERICAN PEER EMPOWERMENT - Culturally responsive programs that honor Indigenous traditions while integrating holistic healing wellness education and behavioral health resources. Served: 1,533 individuals per year - TRANSITIONAL AGE YOUTH TAY SUPPORT - Peer-led services for youth ages 16-25 offering mentorship mental health support and career development. Served: 2,238 individuals per year - PEER COUNSELING & MENTORSHIP - One-on-one and group peer counseling workforce training and community outreach to build resilience and independence. Served: 927 individuals per year - COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER CHW SUPPORT - Assisting individuals with care navigation chronic disease management and social service referrals. Served: 1,276 individuals per year. - INTERNSHIP MENTORSHIP & VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - Hands-on training for Peers and CHWs equipping them with real-world skills to succeed in the behavioral health workforce. Served: 136 individuals per year - PEER & CLINICIAN COLLABORATIVE ALLIANCE PCCA - Strengthening the Behavioral Health Workforce. Peer Voices United holds 50% of the Peer & Clinician Collaborative Alliance PCCA a unique training initiative bridging the gap between peer specialists and clinical professionals. PCCA provides certification programs cross-disciplinary training and collaborative learning for peer specialists community health workers and clinicians ensuring a more integrated and effective behavioral health workforce. Through this partnership PVU and PCCA train and certify professionals expand workforce capacity and enhance care quality reinforcing the peer-led movement in behavioral health.
