In-school programs: $13,860 in new expenses to staff these programs. We expanded our presence into four new public schools and delivered residency programs of 2+ weeks duration at each during in-school hours. Unbroken Circle: We revived this program after placing it on pause during the global pandemic. We paid seven different culture bearers to come and share their musical knowledge and cultural heritage with our most dedicated students. Two of these culture bearers then performed alongside our students at our year-end concert. Songsters: Our longtime students (ages 15 - 20) performed live at multiple community events and venues at the behest of our partner organizations. These engagements each earned the organization anywhere from $500 - $1500 apiece, and each Songster was paid at a rate of $30 / hour for their time dedicated to both rehearsal and performance of these engagements. We have 2 staff facilitators, one of whom was present for each engagement.
