1. The Ten8 Project procures and donates critical gear equipment and fully outfitted vehicles to police and fire departments that do not have the budgetary resources to adequately support specialized units. This program serves units such as K9 Special Response Teams SRT SWAT Special Investigations and fire search and rescue teams helping ensure personnel have the tools necessary to operate safely and effectively. 2. The Ten8 Project supports law enforcement agencies and fire departments in building police K9 units and fire search and rescue teams from the ground up. This program includes the donation of dual-purpose K9s and funding for required handler and team training courses to establish capable well-trained units that meet operational and safety standards. 3. The Ten8 Project provides continued operational support for active police K9 units and fire search and rescue teams by funding ongoing training maintenance boarding veterinary care handler support and all dog food. This program ensures the long-term readiness safety and effectiveness of both K9 teams and fire search and rescue units throughout their service life.
