Tiny Toes provided $1500 in emergent fund grants to assist with living or medical travel expenses to each of 33 families referred to us in 2024. Families select bills they need assistance with and funds are paid directly to third party payees. Not all families provide $1500 in bills hence grant amount does not equal 31x1500. The remaining expense of $3,127 was indirect costs for providing program services. To receive funds families are required to have a referral placed by a healthcare professional who attests to eligibility criteria of under 18 years medically complex diagnosis reside in northern or central NV or northeastern rural CA and have extended hospitalization needs. They are then contacted by Tiny Toes and invoices are submitted. Invoices must reflect parent or guardian on referral form and bills must be payable to legal business entity.
