In 2023, the Routt County Economic Development Partnership (RCEDP) drove economic sustainability and industry diversification with a portfolio of programs, including the Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center (YVEC), Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E), and Key Industries initiatives.The YVEC program fostered the next generation of businesses by providing business counseling sessions, educational seminars, and a business plan competition. These efforts resulted in the successful launch of new startups.Our BR&E program focused on supporting existing primary businesses, offering crucial technical, financial, networking, and regulatory assistance. This support is essential for ensuring their continued sustainability and facilitating expansion opportunities.Recognizing the importance of industry diversification, the Key Industries program focused on strategic sectors. Notably, we coordinate a local outdoor recreational gear and product trade group, among others, to foster collaboration and mutual support among businesses in this vital industry.This work underscores RCEDP's commitment to enhancing Routt County's economic vitality. By fostering entrepreneurship, bolstering existing businesses, and promoting collaboration and innovation, we are building a prosperous economic future for our community. We look forward to expanding our impact in the coming year.
