Parent Organizing Institute. Parent Power Lab continued its cornerstone training program, the Parent Organizing Institute. This year there were 23 successful graduates and over 46 applicants for the 2024 session. Additionally, Parent Power Lab successfully completed the development of an additional cornerstone program specifically designed to partner with schools, the Parent Advantage partnership with schools is the first foray in to school partnerships allowing the Parent Power Lab work more seamless with parents in a school community inclusive of administration, instructional and support staff.

Parent Issues Assembly. The Parent Power Lab successfully executed another Parent Issues Assembly focused on School Transportation. Over 80 parent volunteers participated in house meetings and research sessions leading up to the Issues Assembly. This years Parent Issues assembly focused on a particular topic that emerged from overwhelming parental complaints regarding transportation. A working group has been formed to pursue continuing research and action on school transportation.
