Renown Transitional Care Services operates Renown Medical Group - Women's Health. Renown Regional Medical Center is the birthplace of two-thirds of all babies born in the area. Through Women's Health no patient is denied service based on inability to make payment. Women's Health has demonstrated that accessible, prenatal care where high-risk pregnancies are monitored and treated improves outcomes and reduces costs for the community. At the end of 2022, a local maternal child service location closed its doors, and many of these women now receive care through Women's Health. Women's Health gives expectant moms a program that includes prenatal visits with a physician or nurse practitioner, laboratory testing and other required services, the baby's birth at Renown Regional Medical Center and a newborn visit at the hospital from the baby's pediatrician.For the calendar year ended December 31, 2023, Renown Transitional Care Services, along with its parent, Renown Health and its subsidiaries, provided approximately $274 million in benefit to the community (using community benefit numbers gathered by the Nevada Hospital Association using state-approved criteria to ensure consistency).
