(a) As Shia Muslims, and followers of Twelver Shia Islam, the founders and members of MECCA come together as a community based on our religious beliefs. MECCA looks to engrain within the community the morals and teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT).(b) MECCA shall provide religious and social services to all Muslims, and provide channels of understanding and communication between Muslims and the Greater Canton community in general. (c) MECCA shall organize activities and provide opportunities for the spiritual growth of its members in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Ahyul Bayt (PBUT). Activities will focus primarily around English language programming. (d) MECCA will provide to the community educational and outreach programs and services. (e) MECCA shall provide appropriate venues and resources to bring together community members and scholars with an expressed interest in Islam
