Composting Operation: Volunteer collection of food scraps from Bridgeport neighborhoods and selected commercial and non profit operations diverting over 12.4 tons of food scraps in 2022 by composting of food scraps at our pilot community compost operation. Distribution of finished compost soil amendment through sales, donation and return to collection participants. Conducted extensive larger site development and permitting process and approvals which had to be abandoned due to significant PCB presence at the site, exceeding EPA limits for site use or presence. Working actively with the City of Bridgeport on additional sites for larger impact.
