TEACH INDY EDUCATORS CONFERENCE 2025 HIGHLIGHTS:DEDICATED TO ELEVATING TEACHER LEADERSHIP, FOSTERING ONGOING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY AMONG EDUCATORS, TEACH INDY ANNUALLY HOSTS A ONE-DAY EDUCATORS CONFERENCE EACH LATE WINTER (FEB/MAR), OPEN TO TEACHERS ACROSS INDIANA AND BEYOND. THIS YEAR, WE HOSTED 220 EDUCATORS REPRESENTING OVER 90 SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES AT THE IVY TECH CULINARY AND CONFERENCE CENTER. THE EVENT FEATURED 24 PRESENTERS AND KEYNOTE SPEAKERS. BREAKOUT SESSIONS, LED BY LOCAL EDUCATORS, FOCUSED ON PRACTICAL STRATEGIES, INCLUDING TOPICS SUCH AS "UNLOCKING STUDENT THINKING: USING THINKING ROUTINES TO BOOST META-COGNITION AND FOSTER PEER QUESTIONING AND "CO-TEACHING: HOW TO DO IT RIGHT!" THE AFTERNOON KEYNOTE FEATURED A PANEL WITH THE 2023, 2024, AND 2025 INDIANA TEACHERS OF THE YEAR: TARA COCANOWER, ERIC JENKINS, AND GRACIELA MIRANDA.

THE EDUCATOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE (EAC) IS AN INTEGRAL COMPONENT OF TEACH INDY, PROVIDING STRATEGIC GUIDANCE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO ADVANCE THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION. COMPOSED OF ACTIVE MARION COUNTY TEACHERS, THE COMMITTEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OFFERING MEANINGFUL FEEDBACK AND INSIGHTS ON TEACH INDY'S EVENTS, PROGRAMMATIC PRIORITIES, AND VARIOUS INITIATIVES. THIS PAST YEAR, THE COMMITTEE INCLUDED 15 TEACHERS REPRESENTING 9 DIFFERENT DISTRICTS, CHARTER SCHOOLS, AND INNOVATION SCHOOLS.
