2024 New Mexico legislative session bills were introduced in both the New Mexico House and New Mexico Senate. These bills addressed compliance with the guidelines issued by the Federal Elections Assistance Commission (FEAC) regarding the use of ballot drop boxes. Verification of Signatures on Mailed Ballots Analysis based on a review of the procedures in all 50 states was prepared and published, with citations and links to each state's statutes and administrative rules. Both legislators and the public at large were able to compare statutes regarding the administration of mailed ballots in all 50 states. The purpose of this research and the published report was to allow
citizens to understand the intricacies of the elections administration processes in each state.
