ASELO:ASELO IS TECH MATTERS' PROGRAM TO SERVE THE CRISIS RESPONSE HELPLINE FIELD. ASELO IS AN OPEN SOURCE CLOUD-BASED CONTACT CENTER PLATFORM DESIGNED TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR HELPLINES TO RESPOND TO PEOPLE (ESPECIALLY CHILDREN) IN NEED VIA PHONE, SMS, WEBCHAT, WHATSAPP, FACEBOOK MESSENGER, LINE AND INSTAGRAM. OUR GOAL IS TO ASSIST THE STAFF AT HELPLINES TO HELP MANY MORE PEOPLE, AND HELP THEM BETTER, THANKS TO IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY TOOLS. BY THE END OF 2023, ASELO WAS LIVE IN 15 COUNTRIES AND HELPLINES USING ASELO HAD ASSISTED MORE THAN 100,000 CHILDREN. OUR LARGEST IMPLEMENTATION OF ASELO WAS LAUNCHED NATIONALLY IN LATE 2023 IN CANADA.

TERRASO:AFTER BEING IN DEVELOPMENT FOR OVER A YEAR, THE TERRASO OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE WAS LAUNCHED IN MAY, 2023. TERRASO IS DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF LOCAL LEADERS ON THE FRONT LINES OF CLIMATE CHANGE, HELPING THEM BUILD MORE REGENERATIVE LOCAL ECONOMIES. THE INITIAL RELEASE INCLUDED A RANGE OF FEATURES FOR DATA COLLECTION, MAPPING, AND VISUALIZATION, INCLUDING AN ACCESSIBLE TOOL FOR CREATING STORY MAPS. BY THE END OF THE YEAR, TERRASO HAD OVER 500 USERS BASED IN MORE THAN 50 LOCALITIES (LANDSCAPES).

IN ADDITION, DURING 2023, TECH MATTERS BEGAN WORK ON AN INITIATIVE CALLED THE "BETTER DEAL FOR DATA," A LIGHTWEIGHT APPROACH TO RESPONSIBLE DATA USE IN THE SOCIAL SECTOR, MODELED AFTER THE OPEN SOURCE AND CREATIVE COMMONS MOVEMENTS.
