Borehole Well Drilling & Clean Water Projects: RAFIKI Outreach funded and coordinated water well drilling and clean water infrastructure projects in East Africa to improve access to safe water for rural communities schools churches and medical facilities. Multiple wells were drilled in the Manyara region of Tanzania including some outlying areas. We also expanded our outreach by drilling community wells in the Eldoret Region of Kenya. Each community where a project is initiated contributes to their project by volunteering their time resources or contributing financial or material means thus engaging the community to foster owner ship responsibility and self reliance.

Community Development Initiatives: RAFIKI Outreach supported community development initiatives including school improvements orphanage support clinic assistance rainwater collection systems and other humanitarian infrastructure projects designed to promote long-term community self-reliance. About 15 rain collection systems were installed on homes in Oldonyosambu Tanzania. Orphanage and school support ranged from Arusha to Magara Tanzania and health clinic support in Eldoret Kenya. This community development supports broader self-reliance efforts.
