THE CORPORATION RECRUITS AND TRAINS QUALIFIED ATTORNEYS TO REPRESENT INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE CHARGED WITH MISDEMEANORS OR FELONIES UNDER OPERATION LONE STAR IN 8 DIFFERENT COUNTIES LOCATED AT THE TEXAS-MEXICO BORDER. THE CORPORATION CONTRACTS WITH APPROXIMATELY 30 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR ATTORNEYS AND 2 PUBLIC DEFENDER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THIS REPRESENTATION. IN 2023, THE CORPORATION COORDINATED THE REPRESENTATION FOR OVER 1200 INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS. THE ATTORNEYS WORKING ON THESE CASES PROVIDE ZEALOUS REPRESENTATION AT BOTH THE TRIAL AND APPELLATE CASE LEVELS. THE CORPORATION PROVIDES HOLISTIC REPRESENTATION WITHIN THE CRIMINAL CASE BY EMPLOYING CLIENT ADVOCATES, INTERPRETERS, INVESTIGATORS, AND OTHER EXPERTS TO WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE ATTORNEYS THROUGHOUT THE LEGAL PROCESS.
