Provided high-quality afterschool educational childcare focused on STEM and computer science to over 650 young students primarily at 19 local elementary schools with some summer camps. The program served over 620 working families with much-needed educational childcare. As part of our core impact we fully absorbed $10,270 in operating expenses to provide partial tuition scholarships for underserved students under our pay what you can program ensuring equitable access regardless of financial background. We also provided safe inclusive classroom environments friendly to all genders. Our gender-diverse teachers often taught in teams successfully advancing our mission to correct the tech industrys gender balance. By teaching kids to code support each other and build games together students learned that tech is for everyone. Over time this collaborative foundation will shift gender imbalances in higher-level STEM classes and ultimately translate into a more balanced technology workforce.
