THE SOCIETY HAD THE ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING IN MAUI HAWAII IN SEPTEMBER 2022. THIS WAS THE FIRST LIVE, NON-ELECTRONIC MEETING SINCE 2019 AND WAS WELL ATTENDED AND THERE WAS EXCELLENT PARTICIPATION OF ALL ATTENDEES. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 18 PRESENTATIONS INCLUDING MUCH ORIGINAL RESEARCH AND FIRST-TIME PRESENTATION OF THEIR RESEARCH. THE SOCIETY SPONSORED RESIDENTS AND POST RESIDENT FELLOWS REPRESENTING THE MEMORIAL PHYSICIAN PROGRAMS INCLUDING THE LYNCH, ADAMS, AND KIMBALL. THERE WERE 7 FROM THE 2022 COMPLETION THAT WERE NAMED THE WINNERS AND THEY PRESENTED THEIR RESEARCH TO THE ENTIRE FORUM. WINNERS FROM 2020 AND 2021 WERE INVITED TO PRESENT IN POSTER FORMAT AND 15 ATTENDED, BOTH FOR POSTER PRESENTATION AND MEETING PARTICIPATION. DURING THE COVID INTERVAL FROM 2020 TO 2022, A MAJOR REWRITE OF THE BYLAWS AND STANDING RULES WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THEY WERE MADE GENDER NUETRAL, MORE FRIENDLY TO SELECTING NEW MEMBERS AND IMPROVED JOB DESCRIPTIONS OF THE OFFICERS. A NEW MISSION/VISION STATEMENT REFLECTING THE PRACTICE OF OB/GYN IN THE 21ST CENTURY WAS APPROVED. THESE CHANGES WERE PRESENTED BOTH IN WRITING 2 MONTHS BEFORE AND DURING THE BUSINESS MEETING THEY WERE READ, VOTED UPON, AND PASSED. WITH THE CHANGING DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE SOCIETY, A NEW COMMITTE WAASEATED TO ADDRESS NEW AND OLD MEMBERSHIP CONCERNS. THIS WILL IMPROVE MEMBER RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION.
