THE ASSOCIATION OF ALTERNATIVE NEWSMEDIA (AAN) IS A DIVERSE GROUP OF 90+ LOCAL AND INDEPENDENT NEWS ORGANIZATIONS COVERING MANY MAJOR METROPOLITAN AREAS AND OTHER LESS-POPULATED CITIES AND REGIONS IN NORTH AMERICA. AAN MEMBERS REACH ACTIVE, EDUCATED, AND INFLUENTIAL ADULTS IN THEIR LOCAL MARKETS IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. IN ADDITION, MILLIONS OF READERS VIEW AAN-MEMBER CONTENT VIA THE WEB AND MOBILE DEVICES. THE ASSOCIATION HELD ITS ANNUAL CONVENTION FOR MEMBER PUBLISHERS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON EDUCATION, CONVERSATION AND IDEA SHARING. PUBLISHERS TALKED ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES THEY SEE IN THEIR MARKETS AND THEIR PLANS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THEIR ECONOMIC RESILIENCE AND REACH MORE READERS WITH THEIR CONTENT.
