The public art committee sponsors public art installations and is charged with reviewing municipal project to determine which projects should include public art, recommending future projects that will enhance the islands natural and built environment, and develop a long-range public art plan in accordance with the Cultural Element of the Bainbridge Island Comprehensive Plan.

Creative District - A Creative District is geographically defined area of cultural and economic activity. Its the heart of a community. It is a place for people to gather and enjoy their communitys arts and culture. AHB works with other art organizations and artists to showcase and facilitate activities in the Bainbridge Creative District We host two festivals during the year. The Asian Arts & Heritage Festival during the month of May with the festival finale the last weekend of the month, and the Creative Thread Festival in September. This festival is in collaboration with the Quilt Festival and showcases other fiber arts.
