The Beacon Hill PTA as the lead partner was awarded two separate $100,000 grants from the Seattle Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund. The purpose of the grants was to provide emergency financial assistance to students and their families directly and disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 in the form of covering the cost of food, housing, utilities, prescriptions and medical costs, transportation expenses and other essential day-to-day items. The grant funds were distributed to PTAs using an equity model. Beacon Hill PTA distributed a total of $196,500 to the other 12 PTAs in the PTA Coalition.
