Women Helping Women Fund (WHWF) supports women and children in Spokane County through grantmaking and scholarships. Since 1992, WHWF has invested more than $7 million in nonprofit grants and educational scholarships. During the reporting year, WHWF awarded grants to 17 nonprofit organizations and scholarships to 13 mothers pursuing higher education. The objective of this program is to pool individual donor contributions to provide financial resources to organizations and individuals addressing community needs. WHWF's long-term goal is to strengthen outcomes for women and children by sustaining community-based organizations and reducing financial barriers to education through ongoing collective philanthropy.

WHWF produces the State of Women and Children in Spokane County report every three years and maintains a publicly available data dashboard to support data-driven grantmaking and community decision-making. During the reporting year, WHWF updated the public dashboard with the most current data for 20 indicators affecting women and children in Spokane County. The report and dashboard compile and analyze publicly available data and community input to identify trends, gaps, and emerging needs. The next report is scheduled for publication in 2026. The objective of this program is to provide accessible, reliable data to support strategic planning and collaboration among nonprofit organizations, funders, and community partners. (Continued on Schedule O)The long-term goal is to strengthen community responses and improve outcomes by aligning resources with documented needs.
