2025 was a year of grounding for Elderwise. We stabilized our new and ongoing programs and prepared for the retirement of our Founding Director, Sandy Sabersky. Seattle Parks and Recreation facilitated Elderwise events at the Seattle Arboretum Japanese Gardens. This year, we began a Coffee and Kuchen Cargiver Meet and Greet to be able to listen to the needs of our families/caregivers. The Baldouret Quartet, a world-class string ensemble that has been in residence with the Seattle Chamber Music Society, piloted with our participants a dementia-friendly classical music program. We hosted community gatherings, including our Annual Art Exhibit and Silent Auction, Maude's Garden Exhibit, and the Elderwise Holiday Gathering. In 2025, Elderwise provided 244 Days of Service, 1,834 Participant Visits, and 7,336 Hours of Enrichment and Respite.
