In 2023, we served a total of 471 fathers including 290 new fathers and 1,267 children. DADs has supported 5,410 fathers in the past 25 years of operations, including 2023, with more than 13,000 children; 52% of those children have a father who has been incarcerated. DADs is located in Seattle, Washington and primarily services clients in King and Pierce counties. We have worked with fathers all across the United States, helping them in areas such as counseling, education, parenting plan development, child support, visitation and custody, and reentry support. DADs would like to remove any barriers that may prevent family reunification and community leadership, helping navigate relational and legal barriers which separate fathers from their children and families. Our Becoming Dads parenting class is a 13 week course taught from our own curriculum designed to educate, heal, grow, and engage spiritually with each father. DADs has reached out to an underserved community with assisting in reentry support whether it is housing, transportation, or sound counsel on how to navigate in this community to prevent recidivism. DADs has helped further men along their journey towards healing and wholeness through mentoring, spiritual support, and resource guidance with referrals to many of our community partners.
