ENVY WAS FOUNDED IN AUGUST 2022 BY MIKE PICARD, WHO WAS THE 2021 USA VOLLEYBALL YOUTH COACH OF THE YEAR. MIKE'S GOAL IS TO OFFER HIS CARING, ENTHUSIASTIC COACHING STYLE TO GIRLS IN THE GREATER OMAHA AREA WHO ARE SEEKING TO LEARN VOLLEYBALL AND TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY TO GIRLS WHO'S FAMILIES CANNOT AFFORD THE TYPICALLY HIGH CLUB FEES.ENVY'S DECREASED CLUB FEES, LOW-COST LEARNING ACADEMY, AND HIGHLY TRAINED, INSPIRATIONAL COACHING STAFF ARE ADDRESSING THE OMAHA AREA'S NEED FOR AFFORDABLE VOLLEYBALL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL SEASON AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ENVY OFFERS FINANCIAL AID TO ATHLETES FROM UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES AND LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED FOR EVERY PLAYER THROUGH REDUCED FEES DUE TO FUNDRAISING EFFORTS AND A DIRECTOR WHO DOES NOT TAKE A SALARY. ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL AID IS TYPICALLY OFFERED TO FAMILIES WITH FINANCIAL BARRIERS WITH 10% OF PLAYERS RECEIVING AN ADDITIONAL 25-50% REDUCTION OF FEES.CURRENTLY, ENVY CLUB INCLUDES 130 GIRLS AND 10 BOYS, WITH A COACHING STAFF OF 24. OUR ACADEMY PROGRAM PROVIDES TRAINING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 250 YOUTH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.PERIODIC CLINICS OFFER BEGINNING AND ADVANCED TRAINING FOR HUNDREDS MORE. AS OF THIS WRITING, 100% OF COLLEGE BOUND SENIORS HAVE SECURED VOLLEYBALL SCHOLARSHIPS WITH RECRUITING ASSISTANCE FROM SENIOR STAFF.
