The Bridge is an independent newspaper serving Montpelier and the surrounding communities in central Vermont. We aim to accurately, honestly and fairly cover the news, people and events in our communities in order to build connections between all of our citizens. Our goals are to inform and enlighten our readers and to foster communication. We are completely independent of any business or municipal government. Our duty is to our readers. Our mission includes covering government, education, environmental issues, business, arts, food, history, personalities, and events; in short, to reflect what is happening in our communities and what the future may hold for this region. We will also provide a forum for community members to write about and comment on our shared community.
