This grant supported a project with Swim for Good, which provided swim lessons to refugees in Greece. For many of these individuals, it was the first time they had ever been in the water, while for other they were overcoming past traumas associated with fleeing their countries via boat. The project received significant positive media coverage in both local and international outlets. This grant also supported the Foundation's partnerships with BYMs international partnerships with the Sport for Refugee Coalition, the Olympic Refuge Foundation, UNHCR, Yoga and Sport with Refugees, and the World Humanitarian Forum. Together, these projects provided services to more than 500 direct beneficiaries, while also advocating for greater international support for refugees and vulnerable populations.
