Program Expenses $97,000 Activities Program Services towards Hunger Relief Food Security Agro-Ecology Sustainable Local Incomes, and Cause-Awareness through a Spirulina Microalgae Farming Services The Cares Organization worked in partnership with ZimWorx and Site Algae / E2G Food to provide agricultural inputs training, and technical support to small farmers developing sustainable spirulina microalgae farming operations Farmers engaged in learning integrated microfarming and agricultural lab studies to produce highly nutritious and much-needed food for children and families in their communities creating community food systems through environmentally-sound agriculture The Cares Organization implemented the program through local staff and community organizations multiplying the gift by facilitating knowledge transfer to local farmers improving economic benefit from what they grow strengthening local markets and expanding food security and nutrition to children and families Program activities also included community awareness inspiring people to take action through social capital giving them a hand up not a hand out and education on the importance of healthy nutritious sustainable, and locally produced food as a means of addressing malnutrition and hunger for a better life. 4C Local and International Development Region U.S.-NY Brazil Gaza Israel Sudan and Kenya Program Expenses General Operating and Program Services. Activities Program Services towards Critical Disaster Relief and Hunger Services The Cares Organization partnered with E2G Food and logistics providers to deliver disaster relief in multiple regions in the U.S. and worldwide through its Food For Impact high protein survival food bars and clean water tablets program Activities included the purchase and distribution of high-protein food bars and clean water tablets to New York food pantries during the refugee food crisis, to communities affected by flooding zones in Brazil and Kenya, and to populations impacted by conflict in Gaza, Israel, and South Sudan 4D Local and International Development. Services The Cares Organization conducted campaigns and programs to promote our charitable mission by raising awareness and education around key social issues with the goal of fostering community self-reliance, improving quality of life, and mobilizing charitable support Program areas included youth empowerment and mentoring for high school students youth development in motorsports wildlife conservation and habitat restoration including Restore Habitats and The Rhino Crisis initiatives arts and culture programs for inner-city youth mental health awareness through the Open Your Heart Challenge and womens and girls empowerment Additional activities addressed access and affordability of critical essential health and medicine for children and families in disadvantaged areas poverty alleviation hunger relief gender inequity malnutrition animal welfare and ocean conservation
