We take in Arabian and half Arabian horses that have experienced neglect abuse abandonment or other risk. Referrals come from animal control law enforcement veterinarians rescues and private owners. Each horse receives a health and behavioral assessment followed by veterinary exams vaccinations dental and farrier care nutrition plans and rehabilitation tailored to its needs. Horses that cannot be safely adopted remain in permanent sanctuary where they receive ongoing medical care, turnout, shelter, companionship and enrichment. When adoption is appropriate applicants are screened through an application, reference checks, and a property review. Adoption contracts require safe lifelong care and return of the horse if needed. We maintain detailed care records and follow recognized humane equine care standards. Daily operations are carried out by staff and volunteers with licensed veterinarians and farriers providing professional services. Activities take place year round at the Honey Fig facility. This activity directly supports our charitable purpose of preventing cruelty to animals and demonstrates responsible equine stewardship.
