FOOD PANTRY PROGRAM SERVICES PROVIDED ESSENTIAL FOOD ASSISTANCE TO RESIDENTS OF NORTH LIBERTY AND RURAL JOHNSON COUNTY. THE PANTRY SERVED 3,389 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS REPRESENTING 1,082 FAMILIES, OFFERING WEEKLY IN-PERSON SHOPPING AND GROCERY DELIVERY OPTIONS. UTILIZING A CLIENT-CHOICE MODEL, FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO SELECT FOOD ITEMS THAT BEST MET THEIR HOUSEHOLD'S NUTRITIONAL AND CULTURAL NEEDS. IN AN EFFORT TO PROMOTE DIGNITY, ALL LIMITS ON FOOD QUANTITIES WERE REMOVED IN 2024. AS A RESULT, THE PANTRY DISTRIBUTED A RECORD 732,644 POUNDS OF FOOD. THESE SERVICES SUPPORTED A TOTAL OF 19,760 VISITS AND WERE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE DEDICATED EFFORTS OF STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS.
