Mission

Allegheny County is the second largest county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Under Pennsylvania laws and the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter, the County of Allegheny's executive functions of government are vested in an Excecutive who is elected every four years. The most recent election for that position - an executive position overseeing a county of over 1,250,000 residents and an annual budget of over one billion dollars - occurred in November of 2023. As a result of the election and in celebration of a new term, this committee was formed to fund inaugural events. The primary purpose of these events is to provide the citizens of the County of Allegheny with a chance to meet with and speak to their elected Executive, participate in the swearing-in of their elected Executive and gain insight into the governmental workings of their county. All events are completely free and open to the general public.
