IN 2023, THE CHAMBER CELEBRATED ITS 105TH YEAR OF BUSINESS ADVOCACY AND CONTINUED ITS WORK AS DEMONSTRATED BY:- PROVIDING ROBUST MEMBERSHIP AND MARKETING SERVICES FOR MORE THAN 700 MEMBERS- CONDUCTING MORE THAN 75 RIBBON CUTTINGS, MIXERS, AND LUNCH & LEARN, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR 75+ LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING CALIFORNIA RODEO SALINAS, AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, AND SALINAS VALLEY FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL- KEEPING THE COMMUNITY INFORMED THROUGH THE 12 ISSUES, 15,000 COPIES, OF THE BUSINESS JOURNAL DELIVERED TO MORE THAN 35 LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT MONTEREY COUNTY EACH MONTH- FACILITATING 10 MEETINGS OF THE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE ADDRESSING MORE THAN 20 TOPICS OF INTEREST TO CHAMBER MEMBERS WITH AN AVERAGE ATTENDANCE OF 20 BUSINESS LEADERS - REGULARLY CONVENING ITS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE WITH A MISSION TO PROVIDE CONTINUED OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL BUSINESS GROUPS TO WORK WITH THE CITY OF SALINAS PERMIT CENTER IN MAINTAINING A PROCESS THAT IS EFFICIENT, QUICK, AND AFFORDABLE.- PRODUCING THE INAUGURAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS BREAKFAST AND CONTINUING THE TRADITIONS OF THE ANNUAL AWARDS LUNCHEON WITH MORE THAN 400 GUESTS AS WELL AS THE LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP GALA.
