Helpers list of accomplishments throughout the year were many. The Grant Award Program provided over $250,000 in financial support for infrastructure, and program needs to nine Bay Area and beyond organizations. In the past seven years, Helpers Community Inc has awarded $3,000,000 to over two dozen nonprofits in the Bay Area and throughout the state of California, as well as Oregon and Arizona. Providing grants to organizations that have a similar mission and expanding impact and betterment for the lives of over 400 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.For the Retail Store, Helpers Artisan Boutique, Program Helpers was able to provide a VOICE and spotlight for over three dozen entrepreneurial Artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities. By showcasing the artists exceptional talents under one roof at Helpers Artisan Boutique we were able to increase visibility while providing each artist with an income stream. Even during a very challenging retail environment, Helpers achieved record sales.For the Group Homes Program, Helpers, in partnership with the Pomeroy Center, has successfully partnered and collaborated in providing a loving and supportive home to ten adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside in two group homes in San Francsico.In addition to Helpers programmatic work the organization was awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency for the third consecutive year from Guidestar, and was able to partner with accessiBe to offer features on the Helpers website to accommodate adults with physical and or intellectual and development disabilities allowing accessibility to navigate the website and shop online.
