In addition, 4C operates the Northside Family Resource Library which is open to the public providing learning materials, curriculum ideas, educational activities, books and other media on topics including child development, child care and family. Child Nutrition - 4C's Food Program plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care for infants, pre-school and school-age children. 4C's nutritionist and trained staff provide sound nutrition education and then reimburse participating child care providers (family child care homes and Centers) for the cost of feeding U.S.D.A. approved meals to income-eligible children in their care. The Food Program helps ensure that children receive nutritious, well balanced meals while in day care. Child care providers receive assistance with menu planning and nutrition education.

Senior Nutrition & Wellness and Other Programs - 4C offers seniors a full day Senior Wellness Program at the JTS Northside Community Center that includes evidence-based senior wellness activities, activities that promote socialization, presentations and workshops, senior nutrition program, and a family resource library. The purpose of the senior wellness program is to provide daily socialization and activities that are evidence-based through collaborations with other senior services organizations throughout Santa Clara County. The program aims to promote healthy aging, physical activity, and wellness in the community for seniors. Wellness and Socialization experiences for seniors and the community are provided six days a week (Sunday through Friday). Services are provided with our trained experienced staff and the assistance of volunteers. See Schedule O for more details.
