Sacramento County Department of Behavioral Health Services Flexible and Integrated Treatment (FIT) Children's Mental Health program provides comprehensive counseling and mental health support services to Medi-Cal eligible youth from birth to 21 years of age. Referrals are accepted from people throughout Sacramento County and we receives a high volume of walk-in referrals. Services are comprehensive and include office, school-based and home visitation. The program incorporates a team of professionals available to meet the client's needs including bilingual staff, clinicians, Behavioral Health Partners, Youth Advocates, Family Partners and a psychiatrist. All services are provided to eligible participants at no cost.

La Familia currently provides a variety of workforce development services, including subsidized internships for youth and job placement for youth and adults. Our youth programs encourage leadership and address the challenges youth face by providing supportive services such as case management, counseling, leadership activities, workshops and safe places for youth to gather that encourage healthy behaviors. Annually, we serve over 10,000 unique clients. We offer programs to support education and youth development such as STEM, homework clubs and Girl Scouts. La Familia partners with health systems to bring good health practices to the community, offering evidence-based workshops on topics like nutrition, managing chronic disease, healthy living and more to encourage and support a healthy and safe community. We delivered 830 classes and workshops during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025 served over 15,000 participants. We also participate in hundreds of outreach events that annually reach over 35,000 people. Further, we host various events that engage the community and provide valuable supportive services such as food and/or diaper distribution, health and safety resources, holiday gifting and, classes on grief, wellness, emergency preparedness and other services to that support community empowerment.

Effective Parenting classes/workshops are available for families with new borns to 5 years old. We have Crisis Intervention Specialists available to work with persons coming to La Familia in need of crisis intervention and/or basic needs assistance.
