Certification: Accomplishments: The Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator Program, administered through IWRC, validates the knowledge of individual rehabilitators regardless of location on earth. In 2025 we launched bilevel certification, Associate Wildlife Rehabilitator to designate training and knowledge and updated the Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator certification to designate advanced knowledge, skills, and experience. At then end of 2025 there were over 260 active CWRs, most of whom had not yet transitioned to the revised certification and 3 active AWRs. in fourteen countries on five continents.
