Sponsoring and organizing events and activities focused on and around the last Sunday in June of each year, in commemoration of the action and spirit of the Stonewall Resistance of 1969--the symbolic renewal of the Lesbian/Gay Rights movement to coordinate, facilitate and serve the community by providing the mechanism for the parade/march and celebration/rally within which the diverse elements of the community can present themselves--each in their own way to organize and sponsor events which promote the full expression by lesbians and gay men of their social and civil rights and to educate and inform the general populace regarding our communities and the rights, responsibilities and contributions of lesbians and gay men in our culture, both past and present and for all other legal and charitable purposes.
