Staff and volunteers build and sustain bonds of companionship that provide older adults-many of whom have limited social interaction-with consistent and caring human connection. Core programs include: Visiting Volunteer Matches: Our signature program pairs older adults with volunteers for one-on-one visits. Volunteers commit to at least two visits per month for six months, building long-term, supportive friendships. Holiday Home Visits: Volunteers deliver meals and companionship on major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Social Gatherings: Group events and celebrations promote community and shared joy. Birthday Visits: Volunteers recognize and celebrate each older adult's birthday with a personal visit. Excursions: Outings to local attractions offer stimulating experiences and social engagement. Creative Connects: Intergenerational arts-based programs encourage expression and connection. Tech Allies for Health: Volunteers provide digital support to improve older adults' comfort with technology and telehealth access. Friendly Phone Calls: Regular check-in calls help maintain connection and monitor well-being. Medical Escort: Volunteers accompany older adults to medical appointments when needed. R.I.D.E. Program: Free transportation helps older adults access vital services and activities. Together, these programs combat loneliness and promote dignity, connection, and joy in the lives of older adults.
